Who can create a crew?+
Anyone. The person who creates it becomes the captain — the head member responsible for inviting people, naming the crew, and locking in trips.
Can a crew have more than one captain?+
Yes. The captain can promote co-captains who share full controls. There's still one head captain who can be transferred if needed.
What happens if the captain leaves the crew?+
Before leaving, they pass the role to another member. If a captain disappears, the crew can elect a new one with a majority vote.
Can I be in multiple crews?+
Of course. Your availability lives at the user level — mark a year of weekends once and it applies to every crew you're in.
How do I invite people?+
The captain generates a single invite link and drops it in your existing group chat. Friends tap, install, and they're in.
Can non-members see crew plans?+
No. Crews are private. Only invited members see availability, trips, and chat.
Can I add someone mid-trip?+
Yes. The captain can add new crew members anytime — they'll see the upcoming trips and can RSVP if there's still room.
How does the smart weekend finder work?+
It ranks every weekend in the next 12 months by total attendance based on what crew members have marked as available. The captain sees the leaderboard and picks the winner.
What if there's a tie?+
Tiebreakers use trip type preference, last-trip recency, and finally the captain's call.
Do I have to mark every weekend?+
No. Unmarked weekends count as 'unknown.' Marking them just makes the finder more accurate.
Can we plan trips that aren't weekends?+
Yes. Multi-day trips, full weeks, and long weekends all work. The finder optimizes for the date range you set.
Is Weekend Sync free?+
The core app — crews, availability, the smart finder, RSVPs, trip HQ — is free for early crews. We'll add optional premium features over time (booking, payments, partner perks).
